Criteria Combo Box |

Select search criteria: Ticker, Company, Sub-Industry,
Industry, Industry Group, or Sector. |

Qualifier Combo Box |
|
Select search qualifier: “begins with”, “contains”, “ends
with”, or “equals”. |

Search Field |
|
Type search request.
If left empty, the Result Table will display all stocks or no stocks,
depending upon the selected qualifier. |

Search Button |
|
Press to search for stocks in the OSMA database. |

Result Table |
|
Displays search results. Click on a row to display information
about a single stock in the Information Area. |

Information Area |
|
Displays information about the selected stock from the Result
Table. |

More Info Button |
|
Press to open new browser window with more extended
information on a particular stock.
*Note: Pop ups need to be enabled in browser. |
Prerequisite 1
This program requires a Java enabled web browser using a
high speed Internet connection.
Supported web browsers include Firefox 2.0, Internet Explorer 6, and
Safari. Other browsers may work
as well. If the More Info Button
is unresponsive, the web browser may need to allow Pop Ups in order to link
to a separate web page containing extended stock information. |
Prerequisite 2
Java Runtime Edition Version 5.0 must be installed on the
computer and enabled in the web browser. To test if the web browser is Java ready, please go to the
Java download page: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
and click “Verify”. |
Prerequisite 3
The first time the program is used, it will display a
certificate of trust. Click
“Trust” (or “Run”) in order to use the program. |

Step 1
Select search criteria from
the Criteria Combo Box. |

Step 2
Select qualifier from the Qualifier Combo Box. |

Step 3
Press Search Button.
Results are displayed in the Result Table. |

Step 4
Click on a row of the Result Table containing a
stock. Information about the
stock is displayed in the Information Area. |

Click on More Info Button. |
